Uyghur Refugees Living in Turkey and Their Problems

Abstract

In this article, the author after briefly explain why and how the Uyghur Turks forced to migrate from their homeland to foreign country, will focus the Uyghur refugees in Turkey who comes from the Southeast Asia route, and present firsthand information about their current problems. The interview data used in this article was collected in Sefakoy and Zeytinburnu, Istanbul in October 2017 by author and his master student. Moreover, this study aims to cover not only to include the complex situations of those Uyghur refugees and the main problems of they faced but also to include the consequences of the political situation from a humanitarian perspective.
