Tomorrows Past

What happened to the days we spent in tomorrows
Could it be argued that we’ve only borrowed
all those times that we spent so cheerful
so that we are now so mindful and fearful

Could it be argued that we’ve only borrowed
time, to become people full of sorrow
Have we become so mindful and fearful
That trust is an issue and white is evil?

It’s a time when people become full of sorrow
And shining eyes hide under constant dark furrows
So trust is an issue and white is evil?
I guess tomorrow was swallowed by hopeless people

Note: an attempt at a Pantoum – a poem of any length, composed of four-line stanzas in which the second and fourth lines of each stanza serve as the first and third lines of the next stanza.
