Never Dies

*The first line was taken from a song

Metaphor for a missing moment
Synonym for a song so sad
Words whispered by weeping willows
A lost life I never had

The darkest dawns descend downward
Seeking the sheltered secrets – unsolved
Raging flames repudiated by roaring fires
Within depths of minds – dissolved

Lights stolen by listless strangers
Fantasies fractured by fear
Envy evaporates with earth’s eclipse
Drowning those you hold so dear

Fevered faces flashing before your eyes
Departing voices distorted like before you die
Missing moments filled in at last
Disrupted doors that’ll fill in your past

And as you stare up silently at the diamondless sky
You now know that never does die
